West Alvington Parish Council

LOCAL ELECTIONS MAY 2nd 2019

All existing Councillors whether District or Parish automatically cease to hold office after 2nd May 2019.

There will be no election for Parish Councillors on May 2nd as the returning officer has received only eight nomination forms which does not exceed the maximum number of nine allocated for our Parish. The nominated Councillors will as a result automatically form our Parish Council at our meeting on 9th May 2019.

We will be very sad to lose our former chairman Margaret Kitt who is not well and has done so very much for the Parish. She was born in the house in Lower Street she now lives in.  She will be much missed but if she is well enough we hope very much to see her at meetings. We will be pleased to welcome John Walster who has recently been a staunch, effective and willing helper with our Neighbourhood Plan.

There will be an Election for our two District Councillors on 2nd May as there have been five nominations lodged.

Details are available on line and will be announced in the press.
