Carol Singing Evening 2011 A cold but dry evening allowed sixty six members of the Parish to sing carols below the Christmas tree accompanied by Peggy on the keyboard. A fabulous atmosphere enjoyed by everyone. Also a good opportunity to meet new members of the Parish. This was followed by the traditional Chillie and Baked potatoes, cheese, baked beans apple crumble and clotted cream all helped down by hot Punch and locally produced apple juice. Father Christmas spared the time to visit, he joined in for some carols, talked to everyone and after giving out presents left. I believe he left one or two extra presents for those children unable to attend the carols.

| It is with much sadness that I must report the sad death of Freda Newsham. A keen and hard working member fo the Parish. She served as Parish Councillor for four years prior to the May ellections when she felt with the "take off" of computers it better to step down. Freda will be much missed. Freda had many tales to tell many of which I will remember for many years to come. |

2010 Parish Work Party A great turn out this year, Town Park Car Park was cleared, Lower Street hedge cut back, drains cleared, the lane down towards Longbrook cleared, Vicarage Lane cleared. Two sacks of daffodils planted, and coffee/tea consumed. We started at 9.00 and ended feeling very satisfied at 12,00. Many members of the Parish came out to thank us, one having recently moved from Salcombe said "thank you, this would never happen in Salcombe". Many thanks for all those that helped. |
